The Port of Bandon is a port district (municipal corporation) or Special District unrelated to the City of Bandon. Waterfront facilities are owned and operated by the Port of Bandon. The Port of Bandon was formed in 1913 to maintain, develop and regulate harbor related improvements. The port is the only local authority to interface with the Army Corps of Engineers in maintaining regular federal maintenance dredging of the Coquille River Bar and channel.
Port meetings are held the fourth Thursday of every month at 5:00 p.m. and alternate monthly between Bandon and Coquille.
