The Southern Oregon Power Boat Association is hosting the 2024 UIM World Jet Boat River Racing Championship. Saturday May 4th and Sunday May 5th racing will be taking place on the Rogue River between Gold Beach and Foster Bar in Agness. Monday May 6th racing will be on the Coquille River between Port of Bandon and Sturdivant Park in Coquille. Friday May 10th and Saturday May 11th racing will be on the Rogue River between Gold Beach and Agness, running up the Illinois River to Oak Flat. Race boats can be expected between 10:00am and 3:00pm.
The boats will be travelling at a high rate of speed. PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL SPECTATORS ARE OUT OF THE WAY AND AT LEAST 50FT FROM THE EDGE OF THE RIVER.
This is a world event, bolstering the local economy. Your understanding and support are appreciated.
